Enrichment Activities & Clubs

To create meaningful school experiences, our school provides exciting P.E. activities, hands-on science experiments, inspiring music performances, engaging field trips, and activity clubs to keep the learning going after school!

If you have questions or would like more information about various activities at our school, please contact us. We are happy to help. Activities are subject to change based upon volunteers, schedule, and resources.

Kindergarten Wildcat WelcomeAn informal orientation for students and parents new to our school. Kindergarten teachers will be on hand to welcome incoming Kindergarteners.August
Principal Parent CoffeeKick off the school year with Mr. Beasley. He will answer questions, and share highlights for the school year. Beverages and treats provided by your PTA.September
Tasting TablesTasting local, farm fresh food is an easy and fun way to introduce all students at school to healthy foods. Monthly tasting tables will be held in the cafeteria during school lunch so that all students can participate.Year-round
4th and 5th Grade ChoirStudents can learn more about their singing voice, be in special performances, and learn some awesome songs.Fall
5th Grade Bike EducationStudents learn the rules of the road, how to be a responsible and predictable rider, as well as some students learning to ride for the first time.Fall
Letitia Carson World Fair and CarnivalGames, food, and lots of fun. We also have expanded to add some enriching learning activities with art, engineering, and more!October
Family Game NightAn evening of fun and games held for our students and families. It is a great way to meet new families and to have a great time while playing classics!November
Emerging Bilinguals Family Connection BreakfastA special morning coffee to meet, learn, and listen about the ELL program and how we are serving your students here at Letitia Carson.November
Food DriveThe Canned Food Drive usually runs the first two weeks in December. The proceeds benefit school families first and then the rest goes to Vina Moses.December
Craft NightAn evening of crafting fun in the gym! Families can put their creative energies to use at a variety of crafting stations!December
Dance of the DecadesJoin in for a great time for kids and parents alike. Dig out your retro outfits, and dance to retro tunes!January
STEM NightCome enjoy a fun night of math and science with your children alongside students from Oregon State University.February
Fun RunEach class comes to the gym during their PE time to participate in the Fun Run by walking, jogging, or skipping as many laps as possible. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year.February
Family Reading NightCelebrate reading with a family story time! Come in your pajamas.March
Knowledge FairA great opportunity for students to explore and pursue their interests in art, science, and other areas of study such as historical figures or events, ancient civilizations, geography, and more.March
Variety NightVariety Night is an opportunity for students to show off their talents individually, with their schoolmates or their families.April
5th Grade Outdoor SchoolOutdoor school is a week long outdoor experience in the great outdoors. Students will be immersed in the natural landscape, learn about the environment, natural resources, their peers, and themselves, preparing them for the future.Spring

Field DayStudents play games like tug-o-war, run an obstacle course, and the 5th graders play beach ball volleyball against the teachers. At the end, 5th graders ceremoniously move up a grade.End of school year
